I didn't let him shoop with me for the dress. I did that with some friends and bridesmaids. but when i picked it out and the dress came in the salon, he came with me when i did the fitting. He probable wont get to see it again but it was cool :)

I actually took him with me the first time I went dress shopping, our tastes as far as fashion differ greatly and I just wanted an idea of what he thought was more flattering, I didn't buy any of the dresses I tried on that day and planned not to show him what I had picked.
But when my MOH and I went to try on the dress he just happened to show up (big coincedence right , I mean bridal shops are his favorite, lol)... right when I walked out . He was the one who couldn't wait. He said that he won't think the dress looks any less amazing when he sees it again in June. What a brat!

We are doing all of our pictures beforehand in order to save time and keep our guests from waiting. We will still have the big reveal though. I am going to still walk to him at the altar and have a moment of just us time before all of the commotion starts. We aren't doing a cocktail hour or anything in between the ceremony and the reception so I want to be able to spend a few minutes of alone time with him before we get swept away.

Even if you hit him in the face with your dress, he's not going to remember what it looks like. It's white, it's long, it's strapless. That's all that will register.
He's looking at you, not at the dress.

yes, he went with me to my first fitting and started crying then. But as for seeing it agian before the wedding we are going to have pictures made before the wedding and we are going to meet in the church where I can still walk down the aisle to him. The photographer will be in the back to get that picture then to let us have some time alone before we jump into pictures! I can't wait though, only 24 more days!

He has seen pictures of it and voiced opinions on everything I showed him. Oddly, we both really wanted the same one, I will probably take him when it comes in because I can't keep anything from him and he's my best friend so why not?

My fiance doesn't want to see the dress. Even when I got my shoes in the mail, he didn't want to see them. LOL I don't care one way or the other, but since he feels so strongly about not wanting to see it, I'll try my best to hide it from him.

We did our pictures beforehand, so he saw me in my dress before the actual ceremony. Before our wedding day- absolutly not. The look on his face was still priceless when he saw me at the ceremony.

We are doing pictures beforehand too because our ceremony is in the morning. lol But there will be a big reveal and he won't see the dress before that day. :) He actually wants to be surprised on that day. He's kinda big on tradition.

Okay so I don't really care if he sees it before the big day or not. I love the dress, I know he'll love it. FI is the one who wants to wait till the day of. He wants the traditions and I keeps straying from them. lol. For example, I don't like cake so I asked if we could just do a little cake for the cutting and then I want pie. I love pie. I was told no. He says yes to so many other things though. He does spoil me and I love him, so I'll wait till the day of for the unveiling and I guess I wont get pie at my wedding.

I dont mind if he sees me in the dress. Hes the one that wants to wait till I walk down the isle. AWW hes so romantic. I kinda like the idea. He has though seen the dress, just never on me.

yes sorta off he was with me when i tried on the dress,but he will not see my actual dress as i have ordered it in a differant colour then i tried on ,him helping me decide is just what i needed ,i had been out with the girls several time but it was opinion i wanted most, it is only a dress but i married him pjs if i had to hes what i want the most

My FI and I are both very traditional so he isn't going to see the dress at all before the ceremony. In fact, my sister is getting married four months after me and we are currently dress shopping for her- I've told him that her and I have completely opposite dress styles so he doesn't even want to know what her dress looks like because that will give him an idea of what mine doesn't look like! I think its all part of the magic on the day of the wedding for him to see me for the first time when my dad is walking me down the aisle...i can't wait!!!

I was okay with him seeing it, but he is very firm on not wanting to until the day of. We also have very different tastes, and before I went shopping for the first time, he told me what he always envisioned me in as a bride. I tried on a lot of dresses, but always came back to the style he mentioned. He doesn't want to see pictures or anything. It's hard keeping it under wraps for a year, but it'll be worth it.
I love the idea of meeting before the ceremony for a little alone time, but naturally, he doesn't want to do that either. Damn tradition!

I decided to ask my Fi what kind of style he would prefer, and showed him a few styles. Then I went looking with my MOH and found one I loved. I don't want him to see the dress until I am walking down the aisle. He said that's the way he would like to do it to. For me I think it will be a very special moment.

We are both being huge sticklers for tradition. This is my future hubby's second marriage. The first was at the Justice of Peace, adn didn't work out well. He's making sure we do it by the book...LOL! I'm not complaining...I love my big ivory wedding! Only 163 days until I'm Mrs. LaFoy!!!!!

So....At first I wanted FI to have absolutely no clue about the dress until the ceremony. However, I've been thinking about maybe doing pictures before the ceremony. I asked FI for his take on this, but he is adamant that he wants to wait until the big moment in front of everyone. He's so romantic like that....SO, even if I was willing to flex tradition slightly, he's pretty much decided against that notion. I'm happy about it, though, since I was only considering that option to avoid long waiting on our guests' part at the reception venue. Oh well, I can always hurry the photographer along if he's getting out of hand with time management, right?

I have show him a picture of the dress I found in a magazine, but I want the 1st time he sees me the dress to be our wedding day. I am sure he will see the dress once I pick it up, but not on me. I can't wait for that moment when he sees me and our eyes meet. It's not a tradition thing for me, it's the moment.

We were at an Inn for a long weekend, and no make-up or hair issues, so we decided to have most photos except the bridal couple the afternoon of the wedding, have chill or nap time, the dress for 7pm ceremony.
The formals and immediate family pictures went well, and we were having such a nice flirty time, DH and I, he kept looking at me, I kept eying him.
We had allowed 2 hrs, finished in 40, so the photographer said - why not take some outside pics on the grounds. Fall in the Catskills, peak color, 65 degree Oct. day - we had a blast. I was happy I had insisted on getting a detachable train, no risks.
We finished up with couple formals in the vows area by the fireplace, a little sunset (at almost 5pm) dance on the garden patio.
Like 2 hours of foreplay- so much of the wedding passes quickly, but that photo session with just the 2 of us and the photographer actually ran a half hour over, nearly 2 hours just us. We each remember every minute, our absolute best pictures, posed and candids.
It was nice to have those moments in our wedding finery, feeling we were alone in the world, no one watching. Early photos meant we did not miss a minute with guests, but mostly, it was DH and my private party. A hug here, a kiss or look there, and a ride for me in a swing wearing a gown, with DH giving me a push.
All that teasing anticipation. That was our time.

My fiance has been married (and divorced) 3 times before and every time, he's seen the dress beforehand. I'm not taking any chances! No way he's seeing my dress.

My FH is more serious about this tradition than me, he wont even look at the dresses in a magazine that I want to try on. He doesn't want to know anything about the dress until the ceremony.

He did not want to see my dress. His cousin went with me to try on. I cried & new it was " THE ONE." This is the 2nd time for me. Ist time was JOP. This time we will be married in the Church where we met. He is doing it for me. He has been very considerate & understanding. I just love him so much. It won't be long now!! My dad is walking me down the aisle. He is so excited!!!
Dec 12th is the big day!!

We originally planned to do all the pictures before hand, but one day DH decided he wanted to wait and see it. So that's what we did.
My sister had a private moment where she walked down the aisle to her hubby and then we took all the pictures before the ceremony. It was kind of the best of both worlds.

I think the anticipation, the butterflies, the makeup, the hair, the beautiful gown and veil...It's a once in a lifetime moment...When everyone stands up looks at you walk down the aisle and your husband knows you're coming down to him...It's a moment, a moment I wouldn't want to ruin even though I get anxiety just thinking about it.
