I need help deciding what to for ceremony positions. I have all I need for the bridesmaids and the groomsmen, I have a flower girl and a ring bearer. I have my readers for the ceremony and my brother and my fiance's brother and possibly my cousin (he's like a brother anyway) are going to be the Ushers.
Well, now my future MIL is asking me if I can incorporate my fiance's 2 nephews and niece. The nephews are preteens and the niece is almost 10. First of all, I feel like that is just too many people extra people. Plus, that just means more gifts that just isn't in the budget. I should also mention that I am not too crazy about Junior groomsmen/bridesmaids since I feel like my bridal party is too big as it is. But does anyone know of any other positions that could be in a Catholic Church ceremony? Or just any general input?

Can they hand out programs and/or seat people. I would love to see female ushers!

I thinking handing out the programs is an excellent job for this group.
You can give them special titles like "Program Distribution Specialists"! LOL.
Good for you for sticking to your guns about not adding them to the wedding party.

I know you said it was decided, but another idea would be to have them light candles at the front of the church. Sometimes the ushers do it, but I've seen pre-teens/teens do it as well. Just a suggestion!
