Entry Level Work

Small company looking for gal Friday / go-fer to learn and help general operations.

Good for someone right out of high school, and looking for interesting job.

Pays 300 cash, 40 hour week M-F

Work on internet ads, answer phones in office, fax etc.

But since we are short-staffed, job requires you go out and help in field when necessary.
( Light work running phones and cable wires )
Will train but helpful if you can work with basic hand tools.

Only requirement is a positive, try anything attitude, and not be afraid to get hands dirty.

Should also be able to drive company vehicle to pick up items.

 my dog had an allergic reaction from shots and we gave him benedrill. Actually, they think she just knew that something was off and wasn't really allergic. Anyway, she was going psyco and after we gave her the medicine she was knocked out for a couple of hours and then was fine.  Maybe try that?

 I am a lab technician. I work in a phamacology lab right now.  I have been helping to design an assay for a drug.

I am still not quite sure what all we were talking about, but apparently with the statistics if you get a 0.98 that means you did a bad job.  If you get a 0.99 that means you did a good job and the more nines you get the better.

I got three nines, so I did a very good job.  Whatever the 9's mean.Tongue out

I just have to rant a bit and ask why doesn't anyone know how to dress anymore?  Why can't people get thru their thick skulls that black tie does not mean "dress nice", it means shelling out money for tuxedos and ballroom gowns?

Drives me up a freaking wall.    It should be mandatory to watch movies from the Golden Age of Hollywood to s how people EXACTLY what black tie and white tie are.

 It just drives me bonkers. 

And you are supposed to use your invitation as an indicator, but that has totally flown out the window too b/c now it is just "do what you want" and people have formal invites for a wedding at Hooters or informal invitations for an evening wedding at the Met.

What happened to weddings being a formal event and not "do whatever you want is YOUR day and your guests exist solely to decorate your event"?

And seriously, why is everyone so bogged down in trying to control how people dress?

I will admit my jaw would have dropped if I saw someone come into a church dressed like a hooker.  HOWEVER, is it my problem?  No.

Like I don't have enough to do that day without worrying about Cousin Betty Sue?  Why should I stress myself trying to control how she dresses?

Or am I really that petty and shallow that someone dressed like a streetwalker would ruin my entire wedding that I have planned so carefully for?

Is that really all it si about?  How pretty and appropriate my guests look and the whole thing falls apart if I see a cleavage?

I guess I expected my guests to behave like adults and trusted them to do so. If they didn't that was not my problem. I gave them the tools to determine how to dress and if the failed to get or ask for clarification, why should that ruin my day?

 Ok I have another question and correct me if I am wrong. When did it become ok to not invite family, particularly close family members because they might upset me or "ruin" my day? I am not too close with my first cousin, in fact I happen to think he is lazy, a drunk, acloholic etc. But we are polite to each other when we see each other and if this 35 year old needs to be controlled then let my dad or his mother handle it. It is not my problem. I have more important things to worry about than whether or not he might make a fool of himself. I'm sorry...the guest list just wasn't that important to me - keeping my family intact was.
