Hello,

So, I have been looking for services for photography/videography in Chicago and want to know what you guys think of this price for services offered:

I have found a place that wil provide an unlimited amount of time for my wedding and reception (this includes coming early to take pictures of me and my bridal party getting dressed). 3 sets of DVD's of the ceremony/day, 1-16x20 portrait, 1-11x20 portrait; 20-8x10 portraits; 10-5x7 portraits and 100 cards with my and my FH's picture on it directing people to the website to view our photos and purchase if wanted. This website will be available for 3 months.

All of this for $1,600.00. Does this sound reasonable to you guys?

If anyone knows of other photography services that were good please let me know! I'm in Chicago.

Congrats and welcome!

My wedding is in San Diego and I can imagine that the cost will be some-what comparable to that in Chicago. That sounds like a REALLY good deal. Just be careful and make sure you get plenty of information and ensure that its detailed on the contract. Make sure they're legit, check references and the BBB. Hope this helps.

Yes, this is a fantastic deal! I am from Columbus, Ohio and videograpgy alone ranges from $ 800.00 just for the ceremony and over $ 2,000.00 for ceremony and reception. That does not include the photography!!! Photography/ videography is a huge cost in a wedding, so take this deal!! Good luck : )

Yes that is a great deal... In fact if might be too good of a deal. They want to give you so many products, along with their time at the wedding, plus after the wedding to process the images. I would venture to say that they are loosing money to shoot your wedding.

I would strongly suggest:
*Doing some research about the company.
*Make sure you look at a complete wedding that they have shot.
*Possibly try to talk to a past client of there’s
*Ask if they go through all the images after the wedding or if they just down load them and give them to you?

There are great photographers who do NOT do this full time and can do well at shooting the weddings.
But make no mistake there is a big difference between a great photographer and a great wedding photographer, and a wide variety in between as well.

You have to ask your self how important your pictures are to you, not now, not then, but years from now when your memories and pictures are all you have left to remember your wedding.

You want a professional photographer to document your wedding memories!!!
