I went to Oahu a few years ago with my family and loved it. I would recommend climbing the active volcano! Also you must go to Pearl Harbor.

We went to Sandals Negril and had an amazing time! The food was delicious, the beach was beautiful, and the staff at Sandals was a lot of fun. There are plenty of activities of all types if you want to participate. The Sandals Playmakers made our trip even more fun - we enjoyed the beach olympics, the jamaican cooking demo, and the trivia games. Thank you Sandals for making our honeymoon a wonderful experience!

He wants to go scuba diving in the bahamas and I want to go snowboarding in Finland, Sweden and Estonia. So we'll see where it lands. I'd also love to go to Egypt. or go backpacking in Canada. damn...this is the hardest part about wedding planning! lol

I would suggest renting a car and driving around Oahu. Once you get out of Waikiki things are a lot less expensive. Also, there is a donut place that sells something called Malasadas. They are great. Climb DiamondHead volcano. I would also suggest snorkling.

Oahu can be really fun. We got engaged out there in January at the Paradise Cove luau. It was great and the food was awesome. So that is the luau I would suggest (go one of the first nights---it gets you in the mood).

Now we are lucky enough to be moving there in December. :)

We both love history so my husband and I had our honeymoon in Macau and got that Eupean-Chinese vibe walking the cobbled stone streets and watching the glitzy casino lights at night. Check out my pictures.

We are also going to the Sandals Resort at Ocho Rios, Jamaica. After looking at the Sandal's website and comparing all of their resorts it seemed that Ocho Rios was the least expensive. They are currently having a sale on their website and I got our honeymoon in a villa with a private pool and a butler for 7 days for $3,100 (w/o airfare). The original price was like $9,000 or more.

At least I was able to get my fiance excited about some aspect of getting married- the honeymoon.

my fiance and i were looking to do a cruise to the southern caribbean for our honeymoon as well. but i'm freaking out a little. our wedding is in 53 days, (7 1/2 weeks) and we still haven't booked it!! i don't know what he's waiting for, but if he waits any longer, the wedding will have come and gone, and we won't have any honeymoon plans!!

We are going to take a week and rent a cozy cabin in the Great Smokey Mountains area. The cabin we are looking at has a private pool, home movie theater, and plenty of room for us to snuggle, play games, do whatever we want. :) We plan to use the time to just simply enjoy each other.

We are going to Sandels Dunns River for 11 days in January. We picked there because we could get the best room for the money and it's only 15 minutes away from the Sandels Ocho Rios and we can use both resorts so we will switch back and forth throughout our stay. I really liked that becuase now we have our choice of double the places to eat. Another reason we picked Sandels is because he wanted more activities to do but I just wanted to relax. This way he can go swim with the dolphins and I can watch!

Sandels has a ton of activities to do. We are getting married in 10 days and we will be going to a cable for 3 nights right after the wedding but can't wait to go to Jamaica!!!!

If you have been, please let me know any details or what we need to look out for!

I would appreciate suggestions- I am getting married next June and we would like to go on our Honeymoon right after the wedding.
Thinking of going somewhere different, but also don't want to break the bank.
Don't like super hot weather, but also don't want it to be a "bad weather" time of year for where we go. Seems alot of the Caribbean area is known for hurricanes in June.

Maybe Niagara Falls or Mont Tremblant in Quebec? Maybe Florida Keys? My fiance and I get really anxious with flying.

He decided that we're going to Disney World! He's been several times, as a child, and I've never been, so I am super-excited! We're going to spend 5 days at the Port Orleans resort within Disney, and 3 days on a Disney cruise. The only thing is...I hate flying...but I'll get through it.

One of our ports of call is Nassau, and I want to go to the pirate museum there.
I would recommend Niagara Falls...I grew up in upstate NY, and I love the Falls. Very romantic.

We're going to Ireland for 10 days--Dublin, Killarney, and several other places in the south and southwest. We will be staying in castles and country manors! Wedding is this Sat (10/10) and we leave for the honeymoon on Monday. Can't wait! Congratulations to you all. Best wishes for a wonderful wedding (and honeymoon)!

me too!! my fiance and I are also planning on going to Walt Disney ! Where imagination goes free and dreams come true. us getting married is a dream come true and what a better place to share our first nights together alone than Disney. Cant wait!

I've been to Jaimaica and it was WONDERFUL.. we're thinking that's where we'll be going but it's still too far off to decide that :) if you're going to ocho rios try dunns river falls :) it's fun and exciting.. i only wanted to do it once lol but glad I did! we actually stayed at a "couples" resort.. a lot of people prefer "couples" over "sandals" ... I can't compare since i haven't been to a sandals.. but i can assure the couples is WONDERFUL! :) other than going to dunns river falls.. we didn't leave the resort! oh.. and ocho rios is about 1 1/2 hour drive from the airport.. kinda sucks but you get to see sites that you wouldn't normally see!
