We opted for a honeymoon registry instead of the traditional wedding registry. Our guests really loved it and we racked up a pretty good chunk of dough to put towards our honeymoon. We spent our honeymoon in the swim-up river suites at Sandals Negril. We were spoiled beyond measure. If you can, I recommend splurging for rooms with private butler service. They catered to our every need and desire. All of the staff were gracious and accommodating. The property's general manager even took the time to sit down and have breakfast with us one morning. We enjoyed the food and the bars. We also splurged and paid for the romance honeymoon package. A nice perk. Once you have gone Sandals, it is hard to go back!!! We will definitely vacation here again.

I did Ocho Rios and it was amazing! I don't understand how some people could write bad reviews of Sandals? If the other Sandals are like the one I did, then there's really not much to complain about!

Maybe next time I'll do the Negril one! Or the Bahama one looks nice too!

I talked to our sandals rep today (we haven't booked yet, she's still new and getting a regional manager to come talk to us too) anyway she said that the bahamian one in jamaica was crap, there were bees everywhere and the rooms sucked, but that there were nice parts of it. Maybe thats the one that people complain about? Does anyone know about the one in Royal Carribean?? We want the butlet service too!

I heard the bahama one was good! I heard it was nicer than Ocho Rios, which is where I stayed at.

Honestly, I don't think you should listen too much to reviews. Some people can be ungrateful, too negative, and expect everything on a silver platter.

I went with an open mind and was amazed! I really think Sandals is great!

Having a butler is a nice touch also!

The Sandals in the Bahamas wouldn't be my top recommendation.
If you are thinking of Jamaica, try Couples Resorts. Couples Swept Away is amazing, as is the newly renovated Tower Isle.
