My biggest fears are that something will go wrong with the vendors! I have nightmares that i totally forgot to hire the dj or the photographer!
My FI and I are also having a Catholic wedding and sine there is mass at 4 and we didn’t want to have the ceremony at 2, we will be getting married at 6 and the reception will start at 7:30. The wedding site and the reception site are 30 minutes apart and I have the biggest family in the world! What if we all run late!
Given these tough economic times I fear that fore some reason this wedding will just not get paid for!
I have I larger then usual wedding party and I don’t want to become one of those “Bridezillas"
Last but not least I just want everyone to have a good time!!!

THE LIST GOES ON AND ON AND ON!!!!!!!!

Cogratulations!  In answer to your question, a professional, well-established & ethical planner will pass along any discounts their vendors  provide.  I have unfortunately known many however that received kick-backs or the savings went right into their own pocket so beware and interview with care.  ALWAYS check them out with past clients, although their list of referrals will more than likely contain only happy campers so ask around for consultant referrals. Vendors & venues should be of help to stear you to reputable planners.  In our case, all discounts went directly to our clients. If a discount was not available, that particular vendor gave added benefits and always went over and beyond what our client would have received not using us.  We also had about 17 lines of invitations, gifts, favors, etc. that our ladies were able to purchase through us at cost.  We had our fee to assist in the planning and our reputable vendors to refer and didn't desire to make money on the backend.  Vendors want to keep planners happy so that they will stay on their referral list so the client reaps the benefit. Even if you don't save in dollars and cents, you will definately save in frustration and worry.  Take it from me, even when I was in the business I hired a planner to assist me with my own daughter's weddings so that I could enjoy the day.  Just knowing I had someone to field all the questions and handle mishaps made for a stress-free and fun day. I'll be hiring someone for my own wedding as well.  I'll be doing my own planning and conduct the rehearsal but just having a go-to person the day-of is well worth the money as long as you have that person tollay prepared and they know what they are doing.  Good luck. I wish you the best.  I'm just an email away if you need any other advice. roxmcander@yahoo.com

I am worried about my fiance going overboard in his bachelor party. That's all.

I have a hard time picking just one as well.  For starters, we are having our wedding on our acreage, but due to fear of rain we are renting a tent.  I am afraid that the tent will collapse or that we'll have an early tornado.

Another fear is some of my FH's younger siblings are heavy drinkers and pot smokers.  My fear is they will get drunk and/or high.  I am thinking about hiring one of the security guards my husband works with to patrol the grounds of our acreage to catch them before they ruin my wedding.  I don't want any illegal activities occurring on my property.

One of my fears has already occurred in that I lost my job last month and now I am afraid that we won't be able to finish paying for this wedding (we're getting married in May).

I am also worried about the usual such as... flowergirl (our daughter) freaking out about going down the aisle, my dress not fitting, one or more of the bridal party bowing out, clothing issues for the bridal party, bad food, tripping on my way down the aisle or while dancing, fights among family members, etc...

I'm suprised that getting your period wasn't on the poll list!! What else is more likely to happen to us unlucky ones when we're stood up there in front of everyone we've ever met in a bright white dress?! My parents will fight, my MOH won't turn up! BM won't turn up! (two most disorganised people on the planet... but hey, we don't get to choose our best friends!!) I'll be sick, the reception hall will be double booked! I'll fall down the stairs on the way out of the registrar's office or on the cobblestones outside.....

The ONLY worry I have is paying for the wedding!  We're in our 30's, so we're paying for most of it ourselves.  We did the destination route because we thought of it as less expensive for us and more romantic, but the resort really finds ways to weasle every cent out of you!  I thought I had it carefully budgeted, but I feel like its going to end up costing me several thousand over budget, and the money I had saved is dwindling quickly!  I keep telling myself that things will work out and we'll find the money, but it stresses me out every time I try to choose the things I want.

Since everyone basically covered the gambit worries... I'll put the one that won't be a deal-breaker, but is more of a wondering...

Since Grandma died, is anyone going to get drunk and dance on the tables for the YMCA??
She did it at every wedding, so I'm honestly a little worried that tradition won't make it there...

I worry he would change my name during the vows.  Once he did while taking about us to his parents, and it was not a pleasant experience.
I just hope he doesn't do in from of all our guests!!!

What was my biggest worry?  Someone making a scene, and by goly they did! :-o

How did I cope?  I used selective hearing and seeing.  You know your guests may talk about it, but the day was really for me and my fiance at the time, and the way we graciously handled our guests.. Everyone had a blast, and that's what counts!

OMG This is great you guys, at least I know I'm not the only one freaking out....My biggest worry is that I will have an anxiety attack and pass out on my way down the aisle, its happening right now just thinking about it. I was told to take a pill, but I'm worried that side effects might be even worse on top of my attack...I was told to have a drink but than I'm worried I'll get drunk....I was told to see each other before the wedding but I really don't want to, I really want him to see me for the first time with my dad walking me down.... Any other suggestions?

I also worry about rain, our ceremony is in an apple orchard and the cocktail hour in outside as well, the reception in inside and everything is on the same grounds but I really don't want to have the ceremony inside....I dream of having this wedding at the orchard.....I worry it will be too hot because it's August 28th.....which might help my passing out......

I also like to have a drink or two so I worry that I will forget not to drink too much....I'm going to try to limit myself and hopefully that will work.

I worry that we  won't have enough money to pay for everything.....and I just want everyone to remember this wedding as one of the nicest they've ever been to. I've already been planning it for a year and have another 10 months to go, I better to a good job! So I worry that my expectations are set too high.....

OK end of vent.

I'm worried my FH grown children won't show up to the wedding. Though I have a good relationship with them I always get the feeling that they are not happy for us.

Well, 1 of our Groomsmen may have to drop out because of a new job.  And, I'm afraid that 1 of the others didn't make it a priority and will drop out last minute!!  GRRRR  I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE AN UNEVEN WEDDING PARTY!!

My fiance and I are having a large and vintage wedding in WI in on July 31st, 2010. Nine months away! I fear that the heat may get to some people; even though the church and reception mansion are air-conditioned. I hope to God that one of my groomsmen doesn't get too drunk and make a fool of himself!! We are not there to baby-sit anyone on our special day!! We are having a large wedding and just want everyone to have a great and un time that they will remember forever!!:)

The future Mrs. Schaefer

My future mother-inlaw will try to put the spot light on my future sister inlaw. See her daughter always has to be in the spotlight no matter what the occasion. Shes all she talks about, it's quite unhealthy the way they are. And to make matters worse shes deciding on trying to conceive a couple months before my wedding so if shes pregnant thats all his Mom will be talking about. I know you cant make life changing decisions around someone elses life but how ironic is all of this?! mind you Im not getting married til next august so she has this all planned (conceiving) way in advance. ok Im done thanks for listening!

I'm so worried that my guests won't have a good time. The whole planning process seems focused around trying to make sure they have a great time, and I'm so nervous they're going to leave early, not dance, etc. I guess that in the end, they will have a good time because they like the bride and groom, but I can't help but worry!

We're wanting a beach wedding so I'm worried it'll rain and I'm also worried about other people on the beach being rude and trying to inturrupt our ceremony. I'm also worried about my fiances mom and step mom. They don't get along too well. And finally, I'm worried about one of his friends acting out. Her and I don't get along too well. We fake it for the sake of her husband and mine being best friends. I'm afraid she'll act out. =(

that neither of our mothers are going to find dresses, that's been the hardest part of planning so far.  and that my grandmother is going to drive me and my mom nuts and knitpick everything because we have not allowed her to be in on the planning.

and that one of his friends or family will bring their kids even though they aren't invited.

Rain!  I know it's going to be cold, but I'm hoping we can still be outside--we're getting married right on the shoreline.  I'm hoping for overcast/cloudy (makes for GORGEOUS pictures, especially at our venue) but not actually raining!
Counting down to 4/3/10!

My hair stylist made the appt. for me and then changed my appt. without asking me and now I'm worried that her goof up will cause problems (i.e. her taking too long and me being rushed). That's my only worry, but it's minimal.
