I didn't take another test this morning. I'm kinda paranoid now that it'll be negative and I'll be all bummed out! LOL

I'm going to take the last digital test that I have tomorrow morning with morning pee, I don't want to see another BFN ever again!! I hope by tomorrow that I have enough hormone for it to pick up on.

I'll be 12dpo by then.

Yves was super happy yesterday, we've decided not to tell anyone yet though, just because I don't want to lose the pregnancy and then have to tell everyone.

We went grocery shopping last night and he was putting his arm around me the whole time and super lovey! LOL

Symptoms so far:
slightly sore boobs (a different kind of sore than PMS)
Serious gas pains!!! ouch, my whole belly is swollen and bloated, I feel a bit better today but the last few have been rough.
I'm hungry more often, not that I can eat more, but more often.
I'm more tired than usual, but not super bad yet. From what I can figure I'm 4 weeks today....

OMG

That's great!! I started testing super early with mine.. I think I was 9DPO and got very very faint lines.. I would bet that you should get a positive on the digital tomorrow.. I think the pregnancy hormone doubles every 24 hours.

That's what I thought too...

and to be totally honest, I took three of the "line" tests yesterday LOL, two of the Rexall brand and both had lines, and the 1st responce had a line too. All were very faint, but a definate line!! From what I've been told "a line is a line"

I just found it funny how a line test could show up with a faint line, but the digital was BFN....I guess it needs more hormone to be definative.

I know Aurora got a BFP on a line test, but a BFN on the digital the same day when she tested on 11dpo, and then got a positive on the 12th day, lets hope thats me!!

oh and yep I got a BFP on a line test with a BFN on the digi test later the same day. Different tests/brands have different sensitivity levels so I think my urine wasn't concentrated enough. Then 2 BPF's on day 12 and for a day or two after that while I used up all the tests I had bought! haha :)

oh and I wanted to add that three lines are three lines! You're right with the "line is a line" because those lines don't appear unless there is HCG in your urine and there is no HCG in your urine unless you are PG!!! (or taking HCG in some other way like I was or maybe with other fertility treatments but you weren't doing any of those!)

I have my first appointment next Thursday. Yves is so sweet, he's taken half a day off to go with me, even though I told him that nothing big was going to happen he wants to go to EVERY one of our baby appointments.

I took another test when I got home for lunch and it was CLEARLY positive! Way darker than yesterday's so I'm pretty sure that I'll get a BFP on the digi tomorrow morning!

I'm so over the moon today you have no idea. It's warm and sunny here for the first time in weeks, it's Friday, and I'm PG!

So, turns out the test I had in the cupboard was just another line test...but I got a really dark + on it!

I had to go out yesterday and get a new bra. The one I have has pretty much no support and was fine before, but now that the "ladies" are getting tender I needed something a bit better. DH was so cute, he went with me and waited for an hour in the store while I tried on bras and sports bras etc!

We told my best friend and her husband yesterday night. Yves told them we all had to make a toast and he raised his glass and said "To making babies (they are trying as well), because Sue and I are pregnant" OMG you should have seen their faces, they were so happy it was wonderful. They are trying for a second baby right now, it would be so cool to have her PG at the same time as me!

Tonight we are having dinner with my mom, dad, brother and grandmother, I can't wait to tell them! After that we've decided to keep it quite until I tell my work at 8 weeks. I wont be able to hide it much after that since I work with all girls and they scritinize everything! I'm sure they'll notice my pee breaks getting more frequent and my snacking!

I too can't wait to tell... but we are keeping quiet until June... that way I can tell my mom and family here right before we tell my dad and other family at the family reunion we are going to Kentucky for.

So far we have told NO ONE! (well except the lady we bought the furniture from, and the Dr :)

4w3d today!! whoo hoo.

Dr. Appointment on Thursday!

So far I've not really been feeling very "pregnant" however I'm sure I wont start feeling too crappy until around 6 weeks (or so What to Expect....tells me)
I definetly don't feel 100% and it's getting harder to drag my butt out of bed in the morning too. I'm also noticing that I'm not "sleepy" but more "physically tired" during the day, like I had to take breaks between vacuuming and moping the floor over the weekend.

Question for you other PG ladies out there.....Tea. What herbal teas are ok and which ones are not????

I've given up my coffee (I'm drinking Decaf now) but would LOVE to have some tea...
Is chamomile safe? how about lemon & honey?..I have been drinking Raspberry leaf, but What to Expect...says that only 2 cups per day because anything over that can induce early contractios (eek!)

Thanks for your imput!

Also, when did you all start getting queasy?

The only tea that I am drinking is peppermint and decaf green. The others just have too many other things in them that may or may not be harmful so I am avoiding them. Also the peppermint is supposed to help with morning sickness.

I am using regular sugar because my Dr limited me to one sugar substitute a day and I use that up in my daily Diet Coke (which she said 1 a day is fine).

I am interested in what teas others have been told are safe.

Since I'm not TTC I'm confused. Are you 4 weeks today, or only 2 weeks? Didn't you concieve while you were ovulating *this* cycle? Do you start counting from your last period? I'm might be learning something new here, haha!

Sh_Moo--Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe you start counting from Day 1 of your last menstrual cycle. Tecnically, she may only be a few days or weeks pg from ovulation or rather fertilization & implantation, but she is 4w?d from the first day of last period.

well, the 40 week scale assumes a 28-day cycle with ovulation on day 14 and starts counting from the first day of your last period, so techinically for the first two weeks of pregnancy you aren't pregnant at all. of course, this model doesn't work for women who ovulate later, which i think is part of the reason why it's so important for OBs to listen to their patients! it makes me so mad...like that story in TCOYF where the couple were virgins and didn't have sex until their wedding night, and his insurance (which kicked in when they got married) wouldn't cover their pregnancy because she had a long cycle (which is not surprising right before a wedding, lol), and according to the 14/28 model she would have gotten pregnant before the got married, making it a preexisting condition. most doctors and insurance companies still use the 14/28 model, even though it's rare for someone to actually fit that mold. seriously, just because the average woman is 5'4" and shoe size 7 doesn't mean that all women are 5'4" and shoe size 7! it doesn't even mean that MOST women are 5'4" and shoe size 7.

Two free weeks to start off with makes you that much closer to the 12 week mark, nice :)

I drink green tea, black tea and the Yogi brand organic "mother to be" and Traditional Medicinals organic "pregnancy tea" I've heard that you shouldn't drink the pure rasberry leaf tea until later but both of these pregnancy teas have the rasberry leaf in them so you get some of the benefit but in very low quantities.

I don't know what else is okay to use but I do know that on the Yogi teas it says right on the box - not safe during pregnancy or do not use while pregnant or breast feeding.

My first pregnancy I started getting sick at six weeks. This time I started feeling queesy off and on around 5 or 6 weeks but my morning sickness and nausea haven't been anywhere near as bad as my first pregnancy.

I have just stayed away from all teas but the peppermint. Then again I was not feeling like them.

I started to feel sick at 5 weeks 5 days.

Some books say yes to camomile tea other say no. I think it's fine in small quantities.

I am drinking raspberry leaf tea. They used to think that it wasn't good until the last trimester, but now they say it's good any time.

I am drinking a lot of peppermint tea

Most of the things on the list of bad herbal teas are things I have never heard of to be honest.

I've been drinking Traditional Medicinals Pregnancy Tea from the beginning. Also, some chamomile here and there. I stopped green tea completely (the antioxidants in green tea can inhibit folic acid, which PG mamas really need!)

I am switching to Red Raspberry Leaf tea once the Pregnancy Tea is all gone. I'm 34 weeks, so I am going to start increasing my RRL tea consumption. I'm also doing a labor infusion of RRL. (One ounce of loose RRL leaves steeped in one pint of boiling water for 15-25 mins. Drink as hot as possible once labor is imminent.) RRL is said to be excellent for preventing PP hemorrhage and PP bleeding, speeding general recovery time, and possibly shortening labor or reducing labor pains (since it strengthens the uterus, I think.)

The schedule I found for RRL tea (on another message board where there is a "RRL Tea Tribe" is: 1 cup/day until 34 weeks, 3 cups/day until 36 weeks, 4 cups/day until 38 weeks, 5-6 cups/day until delivery.

who knows the truth in any of this, but if it can help with postpartum bleeding and possibly shorten labor, it's worth a shot! LOL :)

Wow, thanks for all the great info ladies! I always know where to come when I have questions!

I think I'm going to stick to my decafe coffee, and peppermint tea now....and the odd cup of RRL tea.

Also, thanks for the info about when MS started. I was wondering why the books all say things about feeling sick and I don't really feel that horrible. Like I said before, not 100% but not bad either.
Looks like I have more to look forward too LOL

I didn't really feel that bad, but I really noticed ny symptoms at 8 weeks and then they were better by 10 weeks. Mainly just the extreme exhaustion.

Sue, my BFF that is pregnant now has never had one bout of morning sickness. She is about 30 weeks now and said she is just now getting cravings. She said if it wasn't for the positive pg tests and hearing the heartbeat, she wouldn't have ever even "felt" pregnant. Also, my little sister never had MS. Hopefully, you are on that path also!

I must say Morning sickness took me by surprise. I knew in "theory" what it was but I had no real idea what I was in for. And then I was like why did no one tell me it would be like this?!! LOL
From week 4-6 I was very tired(pasted out at 9:00 every night)...then I was tired and sick. uk. But I don't think my Mom was ever as sick as I felt and she had 5 kids. My sisters said they both had it pretty bad though, so who knows.

LaLa, thanks for the info about your symptoms. I kinda feel odd that I havn't been sick yet, but everything I've read (and all the input from ladies on here) says that if I'm going to get sick it'll likely be around 6 weeks or so.
According to What To Expect.... HCG peaks around that time too and the hormone count goes up huge.

I just don't "feel" pregnant and sometimes I get worried.

Well, hopefully you won't get sick!

I said the same thing in the beginning about not feeling pregnant. Even though you can tell your body is going through changes. But don't worry because soon enough you will be able to tell for sure. In the very least you will probably notice your appetite change.

Hang in there, mama! Soon you will have more symptoms than you know what to do with, and you will look back in wonder at why the heck you ever "wished" for morning sickness. At least, I did!!! LOL :)

Or you could be one of the very lucky ones who are relatively symptom-free and feel great. Trust me, you want this!!!

Try not to worry so much. Just be gentle with yourself and try to enjoy it.

I am shocked you even have tender boobs already . . . I didn't get that until almost 6 weeks. lol

M/s hit me between 10-11 weeks. It was not very bad at all, and was totally gone by somewhere around 18 weeks.

I don't think most people feel PG at first. It's like we have all these expectations of change, but we don't realize that it takes a few weeks for them to start setting in. It doesn't just change overnight simply b/c we find out we are PG. And yet, we somehow think it will. lol

Anywho, congrats on the definitive +!

Congrats on your pregnancy! I am 19 weeks pregnant and I never had 1 day of morning sickness. And my boobs hurt before I even knew I was pregnant, so I feel your pain there. My mom was sick for the first 20 weeks of all 3 of her pregnancies, but I haven't had any sickness at all. Just very tired. Can't seem to shake it. Oh well...next week is my Level 2 ultrasound. Can't wait to see this baby. Last time I saw him/her he/she looked like a little blob!

Hey, got another question for all you PG ladies.

Is it normal to feel my heartbeat all over my body??? I was reading a book this morning for example and had it resting on my tummy and the book kept bouncing up and down with my heartbeat....odd

Boobs are tender off and on, I wouldn't say they're killng me, but I definitely don't want someone playing with them!

Last night I had some nausea I think, mostly because we ate dinner really late and I think I was too hungry, then I just felt crappy all night. I think I'll have to remember to eat small meals so I don't get like that again.

The other thing I'm noticing is that I sleep like the dead. Heck, I barely hear DH get up for work in the morning! Normally I'm a very light sleeper and don't really go back to sleep when DH leaves at 5:30 for work. But these days I go right back to sleep until 7:30

Oh, and one more thing to add to my growing list of smells that gross me out: my hair conditioner...gotta get a new one now.

I have that heartbeat thing too. It kind of freaks me out.

Also, try some kind of natural shampoo and conditioner from the health food store. Something without all the perfumes. I went to trader joes because mine was grossing me out too. LOL.

I noticed at the beginning that when I lay on my back and looked at my stomach it would twitch. So I looked it up online and it said that this was your pulse. You are bumping more blood now. I can also sometimes feel my pulse in my back.

My mom was quite sick with both me and my sister. I did not have morning sickness. There were days/times that I didn't feel great, but I didn't get sick. Certain smells, or foods would upset my stomach. I had a huge aversion to meat during pregnancy. I gagged at the thought of meat!!

The old wives tale states that you'll have morning sickness if you're having a girl, and none with a boy.. Of course it is an old wives tale, but it worked out correctly for me!

my girlfriend has two boys and two girls and she said the same thing! She agreed that it played out that way with the boys vs. girls and I had terrible morning sickness with my daughter almost the entire pregnancy and with this one I've only thrown up 3 times and one was over a nasty fart by DH! HAHAHA But anyway, I definitely feel the nausea when I go too long without food and when I wake up but it's so mild compared to DD.

I think I am having a boy and I haven't really had morning sickness either. I am also getting hairier which is another old wives tale for having a boy, and I am carrying all in the front. When you are looking straight at me you can't tell that I am different, but if you look from the side....well, then you see a big bump. The heart beat says girl though. Although my brother had a very very fast heart beat.

Interesting....I can't wait to see if that wives tale holds true for me...

So I went to Dr.Booger yesterday. Pretty much all he did was refer me to the doctor I want and send me for blood tests. I also got scheduled for early screening to rule out downs syndrom etc. So my first ultrasound is at 12 weeks! June 19th I can't wait.

After all the blood they took yesterday I'm surprised I have any left, holy cow they took 7 vials!! I hate needles too so I was a big wuss about the whole thing, thankfully though the woman who "stuck me" was very gentle and 31 weeks PG herself so she knew how I felt about being poked.

On May 22 I go back for my full prenatal workup, pelvic exam etc. Stupidly it's with Dr.Booger, but my girlfriend said that her first appointment was with her family doctor too, but the OBGYN called her and got her in faster so she just cancelled the appointment with her GP, I'm hoping that's what happens for me too.

Well, I'm gonna tell the boss today...ugh, I'm so nervous my stomach is in knots. We all went out for lunch this week and of course I didn't have any of the wine they got for the table, and it got noticed. One of the other girls that I work with asked me yesterday if I was feeling alright...I had to fess up, so I figure I can't keep this a secret too much longer.

Glad to hear about your appointment. I can't believe Dr. Booger didn't say anything?? What a wuss! LOL.

As for telling your boss...do you really think you have to? I told my direct supervisor but not my boss boss. I think I am going to tell him today(he hasn't noticed YET! LOL). But everyone is like "you don't have to tell him until he notices!".

I was a bit worried about getting fired. But I suppose since you don't want to work after the baby is born it doesn't make too much of a difference.

Here is the issue, I work for two women....just us. I work in a large office, but don't answer to anyone else. I'm telling her more as a favour since I know she'll be super stressed about replacing me.

I am the ONLY one who can do my job right now, so there is no way she'll fire me...and if so, I've been here for a while and will charge her with wrongful dismissal if I have to.

She'll want me to stay as long as possible, and I even told her last year that we were going to start TTC in the spring...I just didn't tell her that we started early, but the timing is pretty much the same as if I tried this spring and got lucky right away. So she knew this was coming.

I am also a very honest person, I wear my heart on my sleeve and am really bad at secrets, especially one this big.

i'd be terrified of telling my boss. he's a really nice, laid back guy, and i'm sure it would be fine, but we're a really small company. no FMLA here, we don't have enough employees. any time off i would get is unpaid (he may actually make me use up all my vacation and sick time before giving me unpaid time off), and purely out of the kindness of his heart. as screwed up as it sounds (and he likely wouldn't do this anyway, but he could if he wanted to), he'd be well within his rights to fire me if i took more time off than i have in vacation and sick time (which isn't much...2 weeks for vacation and 2 days left of my sick time).

good luck!

Carly, wouldn't you be entitled to paid disability? Does it vary state by state? Becuase in NJ you get off 4 weeks before your due date, 6 weeks after for natural and 8 weeks after for cesarian. And that's paid. I think you get like 70% of your normal pay. At least it's something.

Sue, I'm pretty sure they can't fire you because you're pregnant. I know they can't in the States. You could tell them now and give them more time to prepare for your leaving or you could wait a couple of months. You really don't have to tell them now. I didn't tell my company till I started really showing and that was around month 6.

It's not? I had no idea. I guess I assumed it was that way throughout the whole country. How much time do you get off before you're due?

And you live in NJ? What county?

Here, we get a year at 55% of our pay, but we can take up to 16 weeks of pregnancy leave at 85% of our pay, so I plan to only work until November 13th, then I'll be off until the baby is born in January.

My job, although it is a desk job, is hard on my body, I have to climb steep stairs about 20+ times a day since the fax machine and photocopier are down on the main level and my office is in the upper level (the office is an old house that was built in 1820) and I also have sloaped ceilings and not much room to work.

As far as I know we don't get anything before. If we have to take time off before then it cuts into our (oh so generous) 6 weeks maternity. What crap.

The company I work for is a family-owned construction company. They've been in business for about 35 years but they have only had 2 women {besides the 2 of us here now} ever work for them. Both of the women were older and already had children so they have never once had to even address the issue of maternity leave.

Before I took the job, I asked about it for future reference and my now boss looked at me with confusion. He said they would cross that bridge when it came. In an effort to make sure I wouldn't have to go without pay for an extended period of time, I took out a short-term disability policy that pays 70% of my income for maternity leave, up to 16 weeks. So I hope when the time comes, I can make arrangements with them to have them cover the other 30%. Even if they don't but they allow me to be off for up to 16 weeks, I would be happy. I am pretty sure they would let me take off for that long, provided I make sure everything in this building will still function!

They don't know we are TTC and that we are going thru fertility treatments, but I would say they should understand when/if I do get pg. The owner's daughter had to go thru fertility with her first pregnancy and she had a girl. Then when they tried for another, they ended up having to do IVF. They ended up with TRIPLET boys! She ultimately had to quit her teaching job because the cost for childcare was far more than she was bringing home.

"Here, they want you to spit the kid out and rush back to work."

correction: here, they want you to spit the kid out and rush back to work, and then tell you that you're a horrible mother for not staying home and caring for your children. for a country that supposedly puts so much stock in "family values", they really make it hard.

also, there isn't any state disability insurance that i know of here. i have to pay for independent disability insurance, and i'm pretty sure it doesn't cover maternity, but i'll definitely go through that with a fine-tooth comb to find out for sure.

My DH's company pays them $600 a month when they take their parental leave. So they get 55% of their income from EI and then the company gives an extra $600 a month. Because of this he will take a month off along with two weeks off that he gets on top of that. If he takes the month then I have a month deducted (which is fine with me since I get 12 months to begin with).

Actually DH took the day off because of back pain. I am going to get him to deal with all of this today. He still needs to find out a lot of information. He needs to get on that.

I can take 12 month, or he can take 12 months, or we can split it however we want. I think this is great. I just need to know if we are able to take some of that time together. If we can't then I will just not get my money while he is off if we can do it this way. We have many questions we needs answered, and this is the perfect opportunity for him to find it all out.

I totally understand why you need to tell your boss....I would just make sure you tell her you're only 5 weeks along and are really not telling people yet since it is so soon...but wanted to be honest with her since she'd be able to tell you were a little 'off' in the coming month or so before you'd make it official.

So....my boss did not take the news well....

Me: So, I have some news for you!....I'm pregnant!! Yves and I are very excited!!

Boss: OH....MY...THAT'S.........EXCITING ISN'T IT....WOW. (looking like a deer caught in headlights the whole time she is talking) Congratulations I guess. So how long will you take off? When are you leaving? Who will you have replace you? (ha, like that is even my job to deal with!)

and so on...

Screw her, I can have a baby when it suits me :)

In other news: I have determined that being pregnant is almost exactly like being hung over! Tired, gassy, bloated, you know you should eat, but not sure if it will stay down, thirsty, have to pee a lot.....now DH knows exactly how I feel LOL

Cheers, happy Sunday everyone.

I know thats the best part of this Ray! (that and the baby of course!)

Today she has given the the cold shoulder all day and given me useless things to do that she knows piss me off...ugh. Oh well, she's just got her nose out of joint.

The other thing that bugged me was that on Friday I told her that we were keeping things quiet for a while and that I was going to tell "everyone" at 14 weeks......I have now had several people congratulate me today! UGH. I think she just told everyone that "pitty poor me, my assistant is PG, what am I going to do?????"
Oh well, I'm not going to let it get to me, my days are numbered here anyway!

hey, has anyone else suffered brutal bloating early on? I'm 5w3d today and I feel like an air balloon all the time. I'm also glad that I was aware of the light cramping or I'd be a little worried. About 8 times a day I get some light cramps. Usually after I've climbed the stairs or did laundry.

I took a pic of my stomach at 5 weeks and 3 days or something because my DH and I thought that I was showing already. I was very bloated a lot.

As far as the cramping thing goes, mine stopped at 7 weeks I think. Last night however they came back. I woke up with some pretty bad menstrual cramps, and today I feel like I look bigger. I can not even zip up my zipper on my pants (not even half aninch) today.

Well, to play devil's advocate for your boss here... she knew you were going to be trying, but not this soon right? You probably caught her by surprise, and the 'who's going to replace you?' question was more of a 'oh crap, who am I going to get to replace you?' - of course, the giving you crappy work and telling everyone when you expressly asked her not to is rude.

OMG my pants don't fit this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can button up my dress pants but they are SUPER uncomfortable and right now I can't stand the feeling of anything tight on my tummy.

I'm now wearing my bella band and am way more comfortable. Thank goodness I bought one over the weekend!

Obviously it's not "baby bump" more like "fat bump" right now, or "bloated bump" LOL I hope it goes away a bit and I can get a few more weeks out of my pants! Although I have heard of quite a few ladies in maternity pants at 6 weeks simply for comfort reasons.

Ugh. I was not ready for nothing fitting this early... I can't wait until I look PG and not just fat.

I knew I would put on a bit of pudge before I started to show (and don't get me wrong, I'm not skinny normally, more like average with a slight muffin on top of my jeans) but now I'm carrying all my pudge in the front. I swear if I don't "suck it in" I look at least 15+ weeks along...ugh, this is yucky.

DH and I are going to take our first "belly pic" on Friday, then I'll be 6 weeks. Seems like a good time to start.

LOL Aurora that's funny!

Thanks for the support girls.

So....morning sickness has officially started...ugh. I spent all night last night feeling barfy. Then when I got up this morning I was barfy feeling again until I ate breakfast.

I'm thinking the trick is to keep my tummy full.

I went out and did some grocery shopping last night, thankfully I was able to get some stuff that appeals to me right now.

Food aversions:
-peanut butter
-anything greasy
-fish
-pasta
-tomato flavour anything
-citrus

Food cravings:
-Fresh strawberries (mmmmmm mmmm)
-bananas
-wild berry toaster struedels (not sure why, but god they're good)
-Apple juice
-Rice crispie squares (thanks Sarafina!)

I am trying the elastic band on the wrist this morning, we'll see how that works.

Hey, did anyone else get a PM about new boards and to start posting? I went and looked and I'm not sure I like the format. You can't just click on "newlyweds" and see all the new posts from different categories, you have to go into each category from what I can tell...sucky.

Everyone told me that the food aversions would go away in the second trimester. I didn't believe them because they were so string. They were right though. Honestly, I don't have any more food aversions. Funny how that works.

My little bump wants the healthy stuff! I have already written about my newfound love for fruit, but I am also finding that when I want a snack it has to be healthy! Yesterday afternoon I wanted carrots so bad that I walked down to the nearby market from work and bought a bag of baby carrots. I ate about 2/3rds before I stopped myself!

LOL, that's what I thought too. Actually, not too much helps except eating early before you leave for work and then every hour or so. Snack, snack snack. You might still feel nauseous but not too much puking. And avoid horrible smells. ewwww.

Ginger ale can be good because it's bubbly and anything lemon with out the sugar.

You might. I was like that a little bit for a while, but it never got worse. At 8 weeks I got super tired for two weeks. I think that must of been the peak of my hormones going through my body. After 10 weeks I was better. After 13 or 14 weeks my food aversions were gone.

Everyone is different though. Mrs.W said that she only started getting morning sickness at 10 weeks, and with me I was done with all of those things by then. You could very well avoid it all. It's hard to say really. I guess you just have to wait and see.

I've had nausea pretty much all along with only 3 instances of actually throwing up.

I LOVED the nausea bands! They made a HUGE difference for me! :D

It's so odd how different everyone is.

LaLa, I have noticed that I have to keep food in my tummy at all times (which is not helping my expanding figure!) but that makes the nausea better. Aurora, I think I'm going to go out and get one of those bands you speak of.....worth a try.

I am for sure sicker in the evening, by 3:00 I'm tired and barfy....not good.

I have not puked yet (knock on wood) but I've been very close.

Yeah, this pretty much how I felt. Very tired in the afternoon. Give it a few weeks and you won't be AS tired.

I am jealous of all you nonpuking ladies! LOL. I puked more than I care to remember.

Hey, anyone else HATE wearing their high heels now that you're PG?

My poor legs and feet get so tired now. I also feel like I've run a marathon by noon!

Flats for me from now on I think....unless we're going out somewhere fancy.

Interesting...I just read on the bump.com that there is a study showing that if you took prenatal vitimins well before you got pregnant (3 months or longer) you had a lesser chance of vomiting and nausea during the first trimester....

I took them for at least 9 months before we got PG, and my MS is not too bad (not great, but not horrible either)

anyone else?

didn't you already try the bands? or was that someone else who posted that they didn't work for them? I think they were called sea bands, they were an elastic-ish band with a ball on them that you put on a pressure point on your wrist. The first time I used them after about 5 minutes of having them on I got a fuzzy feeling in my head and then less than 2 minutes later my nausea started to subside! I wore them most of the day and since they were ugly I took them off to go pick up DD. about 30 minutes after (I can't remember how long now, maybe less than 30) I had them off I started to get nauseas again. I didn't take them off again, other than to shower for weeks! haha
